I know, I know. Cleaning is absolutely dreadful and there are very few people if any that enjoy doing it. I find myself having to get motivation from somewhere in order to even get in the mood to clean my house because let’s face it, I like a clean house.
Imagine me whispering the next part to you, I watch CLEANING MOTIVATION VIDEOS ON YOUTUBE. That’s right, I said it. It truly gives me the motivation to get up and clean my house. Kind of like my kids watching toy reviews to get them pumped about playing with their own toys. Don’t knock it until you try it!
Below is a list of my favorite channels to watch for cleaning motivation:
- Kristen Kasper
- Til Vacuum Do Us Part
- Love Meg
- Beauty and the Beastons
- Simply Allie
- Jessi Christine
- Alexandra Beuter
I’ve also started posting my own cleaning videos on YouTube and you want to know what’s crazy? It’s the video with the most amount of views on my YouTube Channel. Apparently Cleaning Videos are a hit right now.
I would love if you would check out my video and SUBSCRIBE to my channel!
Aside from watching cleaning videos for motivation I’ve also found that finding products that you enjoy can make cleaning “fun” too. For example, the Mrs. Myers line comes out with seasonal scents for all of their products. It excites me and makes my house smell amazing.
It’s all about finding things that “spark joy” according to Marie Kondo. So, I highly suggest that you find products that you enjoy the smell of to get you pumped up and want to clean your house. You can’t tell me that buying new candles from Bath and Body or Yankee to make your house smell good doesn’t make you happy?! Am I right?! It’s kind of the same thing.
If you ask me, there isn’t much that is better then a good clean smelling house.
I buy my cleaning supplies from Grove Collaborative. I love the company because they shoot to sell products that are natural and clean for the environment and us. It is a membership company but you’re free to cancel anytime and you get a 60-day free trial. That’s right, 60 days FREE!
The way I look at it, I’m paying $19.99 a year to receive discounts and free products that I will use year-round. You really can’t beat the price. It’s totally worth it for the products and brands you get!
The best thing about Grove is that with your first order you can get a bunch of free goodies. You can try out the Spring Cleaning scents from Mrs. Myers, which is AWESOME by the way. My all-time favorite is Peony but Mint is a very close 2nd. They both smell amazing and there is also a Lilac scent.
You should definitely take advantage of this! I know that you will love it as much as I do and will enjoy cleaning your house with the products.
Don’t wait! Order now before they sell out of the Mrs. Myers Spring Collection.
My favorite cleaning supplies are:
- Mrs. Myers Multi-Surface Spray
- Mrs. Myers Dish Soap
- Mrs. Myers Room Spray
- Mrs. Myers Hand Soap
- Method Glass and Surface Cleaner in the Mint Scent
- Clorox Toilet Wands
- Method Baking Soda Cleaner – Use it on the Cooktop
- Method Laundry Supplies in Mango Ginger Scent
Thanks to these products I actually enjoy cleaning the bathroom, which by the way, is my least favorite room to clean in our house.
Now that you have your cleaning supplies ordered and your go-to YouTube video channels to watch while your cleaning that one dreadful room in the house … I want to hear it.
What is your least favorite place to clean in your house?
